HELP- I NEED those of you have done HCG SHOT!!!!!!!!!!!

September 07, 2008

ok so you know I am doing IVF , retirval is Tuesday-

I was told to do HCG tonight (Sunday 8:15pm)

I mixed the meds fine and when I pulled the HCG out there was alot of air beteen the liquid and the needle.. I just inserted the needle into me.. and pushed the plunger- due to the air it was too hard to push in. so I took the needle out and when I did the pressure caused some of the HCG to spurt out of the needle before I could get it in.. Not alot, but a few drips on my tummy.. I immediatly inserted the needle to save the rest and get it into me.. OMG I am freaking out, did I mess it all up.. I did get most of the HCG into me.. Please advise

Caryn, you should be ok. Try not to stress. The amount of hcg used to trigger varies from RE to RE. I triggered with 5,000 iu's of Novarel not 10K and everything was fine.

thanks Kan- I was using 10,000 IU of Novarel and I am sure I got at least half to a bit more than half in me.. Ok I am feeling a little better.. This happen last time but I just pushed it in.. so this time I tried to stop and start over..and thats how I lost some of the meds.. ok Thanks :)
