CGK...you can find a dr in your area if you live in the US via using this site....go to the browse box and look for dr's/clinics and type in your zip code....I would make sure they are true RE's before anything else....make better than a regular gyno esp ttc for 5 yrs and with your medical history....you want the best right...***babydust***

Hi Dr.,
I am trying to conceive for past 5 years. I always have a irregular period which is around 2.5mnts once. All realted tests like, scanning for PCOS, HSG, all blood tests, Thyroid etc. are done. Everything is normal except PCOS. Several monitoring for ovulation, scanning, injections including IUI is done. But everything was a waste, none of these helped. Major problem is none of the doctors could properly help me as what is my problem & why am I not able to conceive. I know I have problem in ovulating & only by inducing I can ovulate, which was monitored by scanning & was accordingly given injections & tablets. Recently I even underwent laproscopy & was told that they have bursted the cysts. I have changed couple of doctor and all the doctors start treatment from the beginning & same treatment is given which has not given any results earlier. It is so frustrating to know that there is no proper doctor who can assist in my problem and all the doctors are only making money & not trying to understand a patients feeling & not trying to help. I have done a lot of browsing on net & can make out that the treatment is not on the right path but neither able to make out who can help me properly. I hope atleast u answer my query & help me in some way that atleast my treatment goes to next level, some improvement, coz for the past few years I am seeing myself in the same level of treatment. Please help me coz all the doctors I have met just say, there is no problem, everything is normal & I should conceive. It is so annoying to know that despite of nil problem u have to suffer so much to conceive. Waiting for your reply Doctor.....

Regarding IVF, as far as I understand, I should ovulate then only I can think of going for it. Ofcourse they induce & make it ovulate but last 3 tries of IUI has not given any result so I am wondering if I should take a chance with IVF knowing the fact that it is expensive & success rate is also low!!! Is there any other way???
Also Dr. can I try Clomid? I have been given Letroze, Siphene etc. but not Clomid, can I try it in my next cycle? Shall I take it from 3rd day? Or before taking I must consult a doctor?

With IVF is that they can take a look at your egg(s) and see if they are a good level. The issue is that with other fertility meds they cannot see the qualtity of the egg. If you try Clomid basically that is taking a huge step back with ttc for 5 years and right now you need to seek more aggressive treatment and also seek help with a true RE. Yes IVF is expressive but so far with your case you have spent loads of money with no results. It's always up to you on what to do with your care but now it's time to see a RE and take more aggressive measures. IVF will have more promising results for you than IUI and/or Clomid. Good luck and keep us posted ***babydust***

Wanted ur help. My LMP was 13th June'08 & my usual cycle is around 2.5months. I still have not got my periods & wanting to check for pregnancy but hesitating as my cycle always varies. I have some pre-menstrual symptoms which I know can be pregnancy symptoms as well. Actually I am trying to be calm & like every cycle hoping for the best. As my ovulation time is not known & can't assume, when do you think is the best time to check for pregnancy? Should I further wait before I check or should I go ahead? Sometimes I feel let me postpone for somedays but sometimes I think, if I have conceived & if I need to be careful, later I shouldn't repent for not checking :(, what do I do??
