second baby

I am 31 years old and my husband is turning 30. We have a 3 year old son. My DH and I have been trying for our second baby for 18 cycles but with no luck. 5 months ago I found out that I have 2 cysts on my left ovary. They persisted after all this time. My ob/gyn suggested to have a laparoscopy done and I am waiting for the appointment.

Hi Garcia! Thanks for your post! I started clomid 50mg this month despite I ovulate on my own. I amm a bit skeptical that it will work for me but we'll see! What about you? How are you doing?

hi janet let me start by saying ur beautiful. i know that i can start testing on the next day after clomid but I've been told that opks don't work with clomid and i don't want to miss my oppourtunity to conceive. thanks for all ur help and I wish u the best of luck KIT

Thanks for your comment AKB! As far as I know you can use opks when taking clomid. You have to start using them after taking your last pill as you can get false positives!

No of course not! It's recommended to take folic acid when trying to conceive. I do take folic acid as well!

I took my last pill on the 12th and I am now in the 2ww. Going to test on Wednesday but I have no high hopes!

Hi Janet anything new going on with you? i finished with mt clomid and opks got a pos and lots of pain when i OV. hopefully i BD at the righ time. Keeping my fingers crossed

Thanks for checking on me, Oliver. I got a cyst from my 3rd round of clomid (50mg) and still waiting for it to go away! It's been there for 2 cycles already! Can't wait for my ovary to be clear so I do IUI. Sometimes I feel so scared that I will never get pregnant again!
