Hi my name is Julie and I am 38 yrs old. My husband and I have a beautiful son named Connor who is about to turn 3 yrs old. We started trying to conceive him when I was 33 yrs old. After trying for about a year and a half we sought the help of a fertility specialist. I only have one good fallopian tube. I had an ectopic pregnancy when I was 19 and now my right tube is no good. When trying to conceive my son I was on Clomid 50 mg for several months but would never have a follicle in my ovary on the good side. My RE wanted me to move on to injectables. However, I wanted a break from meds and suggested a "natural" cycle of IUI. Low and behold I ended up with one mature follicle on my good side and had IUI. My son was born in Sept. of 2005 after almost 6 weeks of bedrest due to preterm labor at 31 weeks.

Now after 3 years of no birth control and several months of trying on our own, my husband and I are back to our fertility specialist. We have done 1 cycle of natural IUI with no luck and now I am on Clomid 100 mg in hopes of another IUI in Sept. My husband has a sperm count on the low end of normal.

My RE wants us to try 1-2 months of Clomid before moving to injectables due to the lower possiblity of multiples. She is worried about my ablilty to carry more than one baby since I almost gave birth to my son 9 weeks premature.

I want nothing more than to experience being pregnant again and give my son a sibling. I hope I can be successful with IUI's and Clomid. I fear multiples since I am uncertain if I can carry them long enough for a healthy outcome.
