MrsP TTC#1

I am 24 years old and my husband is 27. We began talking about TTC in January 2008, so that month I stopped taking my birth control pills. I had to take BCP's because of another medication I was on for Rheumatoid Arthritis. As soon as that medication was out of my system, I stopped the pill and I began charting my temperatures and other fertility signs.

Soon after, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Thyroiditis which can cause problems with ovulation. Due to the charting, I discovered that I wasn't ovulating or having a period, but the doctors said it was because of the thyroid condition.

In July of 2008, my thyroid levels were leveled out and normalized, but still I had not ovulated. Finally, the doctor did an ultrasound and said she suspected PCOS (Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome). The U/S and bloodwork confirmed it. The U/S tech said my ovaries looked like, "chocolate chip cookies," because of all the cysts.

Anyway, In July I began Metformin, but it didn't help because I am not insulin resistant like most PCOS patients. I am now on Metformin, Clomid (50 mg CD 3-7), Estroidal (CD 8-12) and Procheive 8% (CD 17-33.)
